Albert Vinicio Báez was a Mexican American Physicist who worked with and taught for the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization and is also the father of music singer Joan Baez. In 1948 Albert Vinicio Báez created the first working X-ray reflection microscope which examines living cells. Albert was inspired by his passion for science and education. When Albert was growing up it wasn't common for a Hispanic to become interested in the technology field but even with these factors of under-representation, he still went out to become famous for his achievements. To combat racial bias technology companies should hire more people of color. Hiring more people of color will help with racial injustice and inequality.
